About Emily Rush

Hi, I'm Emily

I draw things (and manage creative projects of all kinds)! Over the past 15 years I have worked as a product development and production artist in the toy industry, an art director and creative strategist in the publishing industry, and an illustrator and designer in the private sector. I’m also a mom to two littles, two kitties, one pup, six fish and a very precocious snail.

I earned my BFA in Film, Animation and Video at the Rhode Island School of Design in 2003, and then made my way to Tucson, AZ. Here I am inspired by the diversity and tenacity of life in the Sonoran desert, and also long for the ocean, which makes an appearance in a lot of my sketches. My illustrations focus on the natural world, life, travel, and personal connections, celebrating everything that is peculiar, particular and one-of-a-kind.

I’d love to work with you on your next project, whether you need some drawings, branding, or full on creative direction. Get in touch!
